Hello

Welcome 2012...We’re back .....on the Blog Scene. Our humblest apologies for the delay….. we have been busy, Designing up a storm of Wedding Florals and Décor for all our Fabulous 2011 clients. Each and every Wedding and Event, a Stunning Success, and a Floral and Décor Extravaganza…from Pristine all White Weddings, to Romantic Neutrals to Vibrant and Rich colour Palettes and Flowers. We had the pleasure of decorating the most Exquisite Venues, Spaces and Hotels in and out of Toronto, a few mentionables, The Ritz Carlton Hotel, Lake Joe Resort in Muskoka,, The Fermenting Cellar, Kevins all time favourite ...The Liberty Grand, and many, many more. We followed our Mantra of Go Big or Go Home and by our Thank you Notes and Sentiments, we did not disappoint. We were Enveloped in our Passion (and many times a studio full of flowers) of providing High Style, Impeccable Quality, Design and Service to all.

I would like to begin with our most recent event the Wedluxe Show at The Ritz Carlton Hotel, it was a Spectacular success with 1800 guests visting throughout the day to Experience the Epitome of Luxury, a Feast of Eye Candy and the most Stellar Services in the Wedding Industry.

We were in the company of a Spectacular Roster of Wedding Industry Colleagues and that Toronto has to offer, I have to say that everyone went all out and Brought It!!!!

Our display table was a reflection of Fuscia, it had Movement, Scale and Purpose. We had a quasi Ombre effect starting with Whites, graduating into Shades of Blush and Pink and building from either side to a Crescendo in the Center of the Table, of an Explosion of Fuscia!!!! We used Ultra Chic Vessels in matt Textural Whites fused with Shiny Chrome with the Focal Pias De Resistance, a cut Mirrored stand in the middle. It embodied, Definition Fuscia, unequivocally.

The Image with many thanks and courtesy to Corina V Photography

Please forgive me for the iphone pic taken above, obviously lacking the Romance, Light Infused and Detailed images captured by the fabulous Corina, as shown in the First Image and Below.

We also Decorated Small Vignettes of our Wedluxe Photo Shoots, named Kate Spade and Champagne, Carats and Crystal , come to life, best shown on the Wedluxe website in their blog section and of course in the magazine itself. You may also see more pictures of our tablescape on Wedluxe, in the Editors Blog, with coverage of the Show in its entirety.

I wanted to show the full tablescape to boasts the Stunning Sequin Linens and Lace Chair Slips.  Can you say,  to die for? its like the table is adorn in an Exquisite Evening Gown!!! We had the honour to display a sampling for the Linen Closet's Debut at The Wedluxe Show, of Luxerious Linens and Chair Slips from their Sparkle and Lace Collection. Stay tuned for the whole Fashion Inspired Collections, opening in April of 2012.

We were also tickled pink with the Gorgeous Designs by the ultra talented Deborah Lau, from PALETERRA Custom Correspondants, who completed our table, with Beyond Breathtaking Menus , Placecards and our Table Number, which was notably Table no. 1.

In addition we created Floral Arrangements for Torontos Top Wedding Planners Booths,

Cynthia Martyn  Wedding Planner and Stylist Extraordinaire, of Cynthia Martyn High Style Events' booth in shades of Corals, with a Hint of Pink (Cynthia's signature colour in which we share and adore) and Red, displayed in a Crystal Pedstal Vase on a Mirrored Base and on the Console a Mirrored rectangular vase. TheHighlight flowers were a Delicious combination of Fragrant Garden Roses, Amaryllis and Hydrangea.

We arranged a clean yet Luxe arrangement with all White Phalenopsis Orchids in an Ultra Chic (reflective, I think, of Cindy's tastes as a Stylist)White Textural Vase and a Floral Oblique on a Platinum stand for the coffee table.

Purple was the "it" colour for 2010 and this wedding shows it with passion and a cool modern vibe....

held at one of the most architecturally stunning venues in the city, The Art Gallery of Toronto . The couple Karen and Dave , were referred to us in the best way possible, through a friends wedding that we decorated two years ago. We have had such a blast working with both couples, stay tuned for another to come in 2011....back to Karen and Dave, they are a young, vibrant, modern and stylish couple who knew the feeling of what they sought as an overall vision, I won't mention which one over the other, nor a certain nickname that ensued, needless to say we had alot of fun along the way! The theme revolved into a clean, modern urban chic lounge style wedding, which complimented Karen and Dave's style perfectly.

The glam squad included

Wedding Planner, Cynthia Martyn

Photographer, Laura Jane Petelko

without further adu,

I am so in love with Karens spectacular bouquet to this day (its on my fb profile as we speak), in shades of purple... from Lavender to Amethyst, to Eggplant, the flowers included Roses, Calla lilies and breathtaking, beyond gorgeous Phalenopsis and Vanda Orchids! Laura Jane rocked it out by capturing each flower perfectly!

Karen and her girls....are the stage, the bouquets merely players ( did I just bust out a quasi Shakesphere quote?) or shall I say accents to the beauty of the bride and her maids in this image.....you will notice the tones and shades of the flowers are ever previlent, this is the art and magic of a professional photographer!

wait for it.....wait for it....

Voila! a glamorous line up all of the bouquets in their entirety.... and minutes before they sashay .....up the aisle (as some call it the runway) for the ceremony

The Ceremony, surrounded by a circle of family and friends in Walkers Court, how Beautiful, Heartfelt and Endearing ...Love is in the air!......adorn with vignettes of leaning and submersed bouquets on all four corners of the alter space.....

The Exquisite Cake ..... a masterpiece in itself!

The Head Table, embellished with Bling and Crystal elements, not to mention a Fabulous Array of Purple Orchids, Calla lilies and Roses....

The Centerpieces, the epitome of a cool, trendy, lounge vibe with uplit Purple Dendrobium Orchids, Decorative Silver wiring and Bling candles! Artsy, Clean and Modern with a Glamorous nuance!

Roll out the Red Carpet for this Glamorous Wedding....

in Lipstick shades from Deep Crimson to Bright Cherry Red. There are so many elements that we loooved in creating the florals for this Luxe Vintage Hollywood Glam style wedding along with the fabulous Wedding Stylist and Planner Cynthia Martyn, from the Rich Red Hydrangea, Dahlias, Orchids and Roses to the antiqued Silver Mercury Vessels to the Black Feathers and Vintage Style Broach on the brides bouquet. The venue, The Great Banking Hall at 1 King West was equally magnificent and set the stage for the Drama factor, necessary for such an exquisite theme and genre. Our old stomping grounds it seems since we did the first wedding and event together at 1 King West upon its grand opening in 2006!

Our photo credits go to ultra talented Cynthia Martyn, thank goodness otherwise we wouldn't have a single shot this year....taken during set up, can't wait to see the professional perspective!

One of my favourite King style Head Tables this year, so Lush, Romantic and Intricate in Design. Love the contrast of the deep reds with silver, not to mention the simply adorable orchid pomanders!

We altered the centerpieces from high to low, the space simply demands high for presence, drama and grandeur (the ceilings are both ornate and super high) and the low offered lush texture and romance.

and no event would be complete (it seems) without our Signature, Embellished,Manzanita Trees! This one in Silver and just dripping of Glamour, with Crystals and Mokara Orchids on the branches and Red Hydrangea, Dahlias and Roses in the silver base.

The brides bouquet, in Luscious Lipstick shades, composed of Roses, Dahlias, Orchids and Berries and lest we forget the stunning accessories.....the stems are wrapped and finished with Mokuba Red Ribbon, an Antique style Crystal Broach and wisps of Black Ostrich Feathers!

At long last we have a 2010 wedding to post....and a Beautiful one at that!

Romantic,  Ethereal, Rich and fun, are words that I would use to describe this stunning wedding, styled by the fabulous, the one and only....Cynthia Martyn of Cynthia Martyn Events with flowers by Fuscia Designs. We were beyond excited about the concept of Sarah and Justins wedding from its inception, we have done sooo many colourful and vibrant weddings (which we totally love...hence FUSCIA designs), it was just sooo refreshing to design such a clean all white wedding with super stylish accents, vessels and macaroons.  Yes, Macaroons! the exquisite and whimsical macaroon towers shared the centerpiece portion of the decor by Lemontree Patisserie. The colour palette, a fabulous combination of muted teal blues, soft golds and ivory, which complimented The Four Seasons Grand Ballroom beautifully, darn your good Cynthia! I have fought with that room!....and sometimes you just have to work with it! The images were captured by the ever stylish Five15Photo company , thank you for capturing the details sooo beautifully! The cake, sooo pretty ....from I Do Cakes

How much fun are these shots!

and as always....a happy ending!

Strike a Pose...they had style, they had grace

....on the cover of a magazine....Vogue, Vogue, Vog....ok, so we aren't only getting carried away but selectively destroying the sequence of Madonnas lyrics! Apologies to the Diva herself!

What a fabulous experience...we had the opportunity to "get our vogue on" in a photo shoot captured by our good friend (fellow rockstar), colleague and respected professional in the industry, Joee Wong of JW Photography. We had such a blast "working it"on Bloor Street, with Joee. He comes with a wealth of experience, expertise (a model himself ), high energy and spirit.Through all the laughter, animation and posing...We aren't at all surprised that he managed to get some really fabulous image results out of it.... all of which to go with our new look, coming soon! here is a sample/teaser....for now

Before the shoot I had the honour and pleasure of having the one and only Jackie Gideon do my makeup, hence the flawless complexion, wider eyes and younger brows! Jackies work has graced many magazine covers, magazine spreads and top designers seasonal collections, to mention a few....A big thank you and shout out to jackie for making me not only look but feel beautiful! Jackie also does wedding make up, whatever your look and style she will transform or enhance your beauty so that you will feel beyond glamorous!
